Theft of Explosives

SYNOPSIS:

March of 2000, Seven thousand two hundred (7,200) blasting caps were stolen from a rock quarry on the back road to Anderson, route 15. March of 2001, Two thousand one hundred (2,100) commercial seal devices were stolen from Casamar Guam, Inc.

DESCRIPTION: Blasting caps are explosive devices, approximately 2" long mental tubes, aluminum in color, two red and white wires protrude from one end of the metal tube.

Commercial Seal devices look like large firecrackers which are 3" long by 3/4 in diameter, light Brown in color with a green wick extending 2" from the cardboard tube, the other end of the tube is covered in a whitish plaster of paris. These devices are dangerous and can cause serious injury or death.

U.S. Federal and Guam Local Laws prohibit possession of such devices.
