Since the beginning of January the Guam Police Department has 52 complaints from the community regarding the theft of their storm louvers. These louvers are aluminum and are placed in the frames individually before a storm.
You can help identify your louvers by using an engraver and engraving your identifying mark somewhere on each one.
If you see a vehicle in your neighborhood that you don’t feel comfortable about, or individuals acting specious, there’s nothing wrong with contacting the police department and asking for officers to check on these individuals.
Take down their license plate number, color and type of vehicle, how many individuals and if possible a description of them.
These tips will help keep your neighborhood safe from burglary and theft.
If you have any information regarding the theft of Storm Louvers call Guam
Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP.
